Calling this a dongle doesn't do it justice. This thing performs better than my Astell and Kern SP1000. Forget the price point, this thing bats with anythingn2 or 3 times better for sound quality. This beats the Mojo 2 also

Great review as always. I'm almost certain to purchase a unit. But it all hangs on the external storage capacity for me. AK's website states an ext. capacity of 1.5TB but have found all the reviews I've read so far as stating 1TB. Is anyone able to confirm for sure if the former is true or not?

Great review. Would have been worth mentioning the nice case, the great titanium build and the side button that allows fine volume control. The sound is amazing and on par at least with a good mid-range DAP. I love mine. However, I am on my second. The issue being interference when listening whilst walking. It picks up noise from my iPhone 13Pro when I walk. I think secondary to the phone searching for signal. Has affected both units. Not been a problem whilst not moving. I have held onto it, because the sound is so sublime. Would be interested to know if anyone else has had the same issue as I have had?

Loving your review and wondered if you could give some advice. I have the Max and Focal Utopia 3.5SE would i benefit from a 4.4mm balanced to boost the gain to lower the listening volume. Sorry I’m quite new to this

one part confuses me: if you are streaming spotify from your phone, laptop, or smart tv - the outputs that we would provide audio already have been converted to analog. Which output would you send to a DAC so the spotify signal is digital until it hits the external DAC box? Thanks

I just worry about having nothing over those planar drivers. How many driver failures will a normal user have ? Probably none but it just bothers me a little bit. The pricing seems odd as well are they really worth 2K more than already 6K Susvara. I would love to hear them at my next Can Jam though.

I have an A&K SR35 and just "upgraded" from my Westone Mach 60's to the Campfire Supermoons. So I think I'm good for now. Wouldn't mind auditioning these though.

Wanting to hear more confirmations like this. I bought Susvara OG purely on reviews/reputation. It's truly been the sound upgrade I was hoping for after HE1000SE (although there's an element I miss). Not able to pay full retail for Unveiled. HiFiman is the only headphone company that I know that rewards it's loyal customers with an upgrade path (like Samsung). I love OG Susvara but that rabbit hole is calling with the an even better sounding Susvara.

I bought Susvara unvield. And I also have Susvara og. Sound is very different and I need both headphones. OG is like to be in 10th raw in philarmony. But Unvield is like to be on conductor place. There is a distance in sound between you and stage with OG and absolute transparency and expanded soundstage with Unvield.

This is truly a one of a kind outstanding "Entire Headphone System" so yes like many high end components it's at the very Apex of the high end and is expensive . So that as a starting point it is a complete including all their own custom cables. My only quest relates to your comments on the Bass performance. Can you elaborate a bit more as several other reviews conflict with that assessment a bit mentioning the Bass to be the one area it may be a bit light? You indicate in addition to the quality of the bass it can actually "rumble" in its presentation with power? There is no question on everything else it does, some rate it as even better overall than the SENN $ 70k showpiece system HE-1?

I have a pair on order but unfortunately I'm not able to test these out. I have a couple concerns. Steve, you mentioned something about crackling during break in? Im wondering what kind of amp were you using. I have the SP3000T. With the impedance closer to a dead short, is this going to be too much load on the amp and I for sure dont want to overload the DAP. Any thoughts?

What about wifi and bluetooth quality/connexion ? It s a big problem on my S25mkII.

Hi great informative video, I been thinking of getting these as I hd6xx with custom cans bass mod and replace the pads from 3/4” to 1.25” pads to see if that improveds the sound signature , just bought an open box one for £269 instead of £359 which is price , but sennheiser Uk is still selling them £499.
